Like everything else when you buy in bulk you want to buy the correct things and amounts so you don't waste food and time of going to the store a bunch of times for little things. It would be wise to purchase shelves for the garage if you don't have them already. We have two shelves with Along with that we have found the Winco sells food grade 5 gallon buckets with screw top lids for around $10, these work very well for storing rice, flour, dried beans.
- Jasmine Rice (Buy in bulk at either Costco or Sams and store in Winco food grade buckets)
- Basmati Rice (Buy in bulk as well)
- All Purpose Flour (I don't typically say to buy organic but with flour i would try to)
- Dried Pasta
- Canned Tomatoes (Roma's or San Marzano's preferably)
- Tomato Paste
- Any extra spices (Sam's Club sells the most spices in bulk so I typically go with them)
- Granulated Sugar
- Brown Sugar
- Powdered Sugar
- Dried Beans (Black Beans, Pinto Beans, Red Beans, etc.)
- Coconut Milk
- Bulk Neutral oil (Avocado, Olive, Vegetable, etc.)
- Dried Asian Noodles (Egg noodle, Rice noodle, etc.)
- Soy Sauce
- Chicken Broth (only for when you run out of your own in the freezer)
- Dried Peppers (Cascabel, Chili de Arbol, California Chili Pods, etc.)
- Evaporated Milk
- White Distilled Vinegar (Sam's or Costco sells it in two one gallon jugs)
